SPRING X TOKYO 10D9N / DAY 4

SPRING x TOKYO
3rd April 2015 to 12 April 2015

My own highlight of the trip. I always looooooved theme parks, every country that I go, it's a MUST for me to spend a whole day there. I love the thrilling rides, the fun & games, the very detailed design and attractions they have.

We planned a 2 day trip to Tokyo Disneyland & Disneysea. We booked a hotel at Tokyo Sunroute Plaza as the Disney Hotels are all fully booked ):

It was not cheap to stay at Disneyland, it cost us $100/person a night in a tiny squeezy room.
Luckily we did not bring our luggages, as the room have NO space for any luggage. Unless you place your luggage on the sofa or your bed...

It had a marine or ship theme to the room. Quite cool if you ask me (:

DAY 4
Tokyo Disneyland

I did my research online thru blogs and various forums trying to figure out how Fastpass works and which rides will be worth it for the Fastpass. There's a trick to it and actually can help you save alot of time queuing and more time for you to explore Disneyland!

We arrived at Disneyland at around 8.30am to queue to enter. Gates opens at 9am. I thought we are kiasu enough, but apparently, almost everyone arrives that early!

The map gives you a head start and allow you to plan which games you want to play first. The most important first Fastpass you should get would be the ride you want to play most.

The way Fastpass works is that they will give you a time period for you to come back to play the ride using the fastpass lane. Whereby you only need to queue for 5-10mins? Comparing to the normal queue which is easily 50-110mins for some rides.

For Disneyland, the Fastpass that runs out the most would be Monster's Inc.
*Fastpass do gets out of stock when passes time frame gets all taken up.

So the first time Vincent did was to run, literally run to Monster's Inc attraction to queue to get the fastpass. It's crazy, people do run. Like sprint to the booths.

This is our first Fastpass. Stated there is the time where we have to go back in order to play the ride using the Fastpass Lane. We collected the ticket at 9.30am. And so we have to wait for another 2hours before we can collect another fastpass for another ride.

Monster's Inc is kinda like an interactive ride, not thrilling. But it's very engaging with the riders, especially for kids.
Rating 6.5/10!

We walked around, looked at the buildings and attractions.

How to not take photo with the famous Disney Castle?

After 2 hours of exploring, we can finally take our second Fastpass at 11.30am!
Second Fastpass was for Big Thunder Mountain, a roller coaster ride!
Rating 7.5/10!

Had lunch after that to fill up those tummies for a fun-filled day!

And Disneyland allows us to take photos with the headbands then place it back.
*A lil unhygienic if someone who didn't wash their hair comes along....*

We then went to the standard queue for Star Tours : The Adventure Continues
The wait was around 30mins, we had the time to spare. It was a 3D ride which is something like The Transformers Ride in Singapore's USS.
Rating 6/10!

 & more photos to come

We then got our third and best Fastpass of all time.
The Space Mountain Rating 10/10!
Just look how popular it is. The time frame for us to go back to ride is 9.15pm to 10pm. Luckily we got it in time before it is sold out!

The roller coaster ride goes into a galaxy full of stars, and while you can't see the tracks, it makes turns and it slowly speeds up. The point where is was getting speeding so fast I could not even shout! I was in awe how thrilling this ride was. Don't mind playing it again and again!

Look how everyone sits so patiently and neatly while waiting for the Disney Parade to come. It's a very good idea for everyone to sit on the floor so that everyone gets to see the parade. Lil children are short, so if everyone stands up to watch, lil kids view are most probably blocked. But by having everyone sit down, it's a perfect solution!

When night falls and lights brighten up, Disneyland looks even more magical than ever.

Regretted not "chope-ing" our seats at the front row. If you do get to disneyland, please do chope your front row seats at 6pm. It's totally worth it to see the Disney Electrical Night Parade at 7.30pm
The photos below were taken using zoom and I was far far away squeezing with the crowd.. But they were so pretty!

Then there was fireworks at 8.30pm. We basically camped at the same spot and waited for the fireworks for another 20mins after the Electrical Night Parade ended. Super pretty.. Chrissa took a video with her phone, my camera died on me. Boohoo.

End of Day 4 at Tokyo Disneyland.
