SPRING X TOKYO 10D9N / DAY 9

SPRING x TOKYO
3rd April 2015 to 12 April 2015

Day 9 of Tokyo.. time flies the long holiday to Japan is ending already. Everyday is packed with places to visit and things to do, 10 Days is not enough to see the whole of Japan! Can't believe it have been exactly 4 months since Japan trip... It seems like it was just a month ago!

DAY 9
Meiji Shrine Visit, Yoyogi Park & Tokyo Tower
Meiji Jingu Shrine is also a very well-known shrine to visit for praying. Many Japanese couples actually hold their wedding ceremony there! I was hoping we can catch one when we visit!

It's a 10-15mins walk in from the MRT station. But it's nice and refreshing to enjoy a good walk with fresh air in the morning!

As usual, at every shrine/temple you have to wash your hands and mouth before entering!

And we arrived!

And how lucky it is for me to see a wedding ceremony being held!! Like once in a lifetime can see such things yknow.

Very traditional photo taking session with the family. Everyone looks very serious and solemn. I love the fact that they are taking a family picture in a shrine with such beautiful nature surrounding...

Done our prayers and also bought Ema again to write our wishes!

So I read somewhere that all these are real sake barrels and they are all donated by different people to the shrine. They say that sake brings gods and people closer.

So if you take a walk out after, Yoyogi Park is just around the corner. We basically just looked for signs and asked for directions. Yoyogi Park is one of the largest parks in Tokyo that have Cherry Blossom Trees!!

I actually planned to visit Yoyogi Park the first few days we arrive because that is the time where the cherry blossoms are blooming!! But we couldn't because it was raining for the first few days! ):

Quite a bummer because I saw so many "botak" cherry blossom trees! means all the flowers have fallen... Imagine how pretty it would be when it's in full bloom!!

Can you see? The ground is filled with flower petals that have fallen... The bg one is going to be botak soon also..

Found some other flowers in a small area of the park (:

All the very cute gou gou men!!

So we took a good stroll around the park and watch how Japanese spend their day just chilling under the trees.

Oh did i mention how horrifying their crows were? THEY ARE FUCKING HUGE AND SO MANY OF THEM AND LOOK LIKE WILL ATTACK YOU ANY MOMENT. But the Japanese don't seem to be affected by them. Maybe their size is normal to them... but definitely not normal to me!

Can't rmb how we walk walk walk and ended up at Shibuya District. And we passed by this Coca-Cola roadshow. I pestered Vincent that we should go and have a try since we are already here! We didn't understand how to fill up the form, but we just tried!

We wanted to put our nicknames. But after we gave them the board, they said that we can only use our real names and no nick names.

Didn't manage to take a photo of the inside of the booth. But basically is a green screen then you just pose for the picture! After you are out, your shot and your names will be on the big screen outside for a good 30 secs? So nice right!!! Omg.

After much gaigai and buying many Onitsuka Tiger shoes.... I googled for yummy shabu shabu!

And found this gem, Shabuzen
Reviews said their Beef is good. But we don't take beef. Their pork is soooo delicious anyway! My bb said I did a good job for finding this place! Hehe

Look how cute their waitress are dressed in Kimonos! Love it!

After dinner we decided to find the Tokyo Tower! I was so looking forward to finding their love locks!! I really wanted to lock one.. But I reach there too late. We reached around 10++? And the level the love locks are located is already closed. But we could still go to the observatory.

Views from above are too pretty and such a pity it can't be captured with my lousy camera. You have to experience it yourself!

And that's the end of my Japan trip!

Day 10 is basically buying whatever we have not bought, then travelling back to homeland.
I loved Japan and would love to visit this place again! Next aim would be Osaka! I wna go their USS!! I loved the company I had during this trip, the people to create memories with, my bb, Chrissa and Ahdi. Thanks for being such great people to travel with!! <3

*not everyone/every friend is a good travel partner. LOL. Not easy to find people who can match your travelling style and habits!
