#Celestrys x Beauty-Keeper.com (with 2 Giveaways!!)

I had a really great time at Sample Store's Giftopia Event, going through individual booths trying out the products and even making purchases over the 3 hours I was there. Time flies when you are having fun. Only bf was having a hard time following me around.

There was this booth by Beauty Keeper that was giving out their pretty pink boxes which contains 8-10 products for us to try out! Every box contains random items and I was excited to get mine!

What is Beauty Keeper?

Beauty Keeper is originated from Taiwan itself to bring Taiwanese brands & their products to Singapore! It serves as a one-stop solution for all girls to shop online for their taiwan beauty essentials!

#Celestrys Skin Booster 水光针

I did tons and tons of research before I made my decision to get the skin booster injection. I was initially thinking of getting whitening jabs 美白針 as I got a lot of comments that I was getting tanner/darker/look like pinoy.....

However, on the other hand.. after the eczema flare up the look and texture of my skin was very affected. It's dry most of the time, uneven skin tone, dullness and lack of that ... boing boing?

I really want to do both treatments. But with my budget constraint, I've decided to get the Skin Booster Treatment first.

What can Skin Booster do?
1. Smoother, Hydrated and Radiant Skin

3. Improves skin tone and eliminate dullness

So i started googling, looking for reviews, comparing price and the amount of HA (Hyaluronic Acid) they offer and many many other concerns I had.

So i found Lee Na Young on facebook when I saw their ad. After many rounds of facebook messages, asking them many questions on pricing and the brand of injection they use, the method they use. I've decided to get it done before my birthday!

With Makeup. No Edits. No Filter.

I signed for their Celebrity Shine Promotion @ $2099 (I used my OCBC card for installment)

Which consists of 3 x Dewy Treatments, 3 x Covered BB Treatment + 3 x Free Vitamin C Ampules.

If you take $2099, divide by 6 sessions, it's around $350 each session.

I found some other clinics at $800-$1000/session.

Whole Procedure at Lee Na Young

Same procedures like any other clinics I go, I have to fill up the form on my skin concerns and background of my skin before the treatment. So I have to declare that I have eczema skin to them so they would not use any alcohol products on me.

So the consultant looked through and looked at my skin condition as well. So i have a little active eczema on my upper lip on that day itself. She advises that we will not be injecting any at that area, and will avoid. As my eczema was active, the healing will take longer than usual, and it may get reddish or bruises.

We agreed that we'll avoid that area, and proceeded to the treatment room.

Firstly, the lady did my make up removal.

After which, they explained to my how the numbing will be, how it will feel later. And then applied over my whole face. And wrapped with a cling wrap and let the numbing cream work it's magic.

After 30mins... it's time!

My consultant explained to me what she'll be injecting and showed me the new packs. I was nervous, so no pictures. Haha. She showed me the 2ml of HA, together with the Vitamin C Ampule. & also the new needles that she'll be using on me. (for hygienic & health purposes)

I only managed to snap 1 picture, as it gets bloody thereafter. So the inject procedure is done with a sequence of micro-injections delivered into my whole face.

As my skin is very very thin after many steroid creams during eczema flare ups. I tend to bleed and bruise very easily.

The whole session was quite fast, but i have to say. It did pricked me a little during some areas of my face. But still bearable after all. No pain no gain ma right?

After it's all done, they used the HA mask on me for faster healing. HA masks can be purchased over their counter as well if you want to use at home. Which I did too, as I know myself eczema skin have a much slower healing speed.

Downtime for Skin Booster

So this is me at 11pm, 3 hours after the treatment. Not sure if you can see, but there are dots all over my face... To be honest, I got a shock when I went to the toilet and saw my face! Look like I got chicken pox! Opps!

I used the HA mask that I purchased in the night before bed. Hoping to wake up with lesser dots...
Dots are still here. I guess my skin really has a very slow recovery... ): #EczemaWoes

I put makeup still to cover up the dots, as i have a meeting to attend.
Although advisable to give your skin a rest during Day 1.

I did another round of HA mask on Day 1 Night before bed. To help soothe the skin and let it heal better. I can actually feel that my skin is smoother on Day 2 even thou it still looks pretty scary.

I still went out as usual, nothing is going keep me at home during my weekends hehe.
Went to did my eyelash extensions, thus the longer lashes.
A little bumps here and there, but overall still able to cover and not really obvious in real life.

So finally as the days go by, the dots get lighter and lighter and disappear. I still have 2 dots underneath my eyes, I guess is because the skin is really thin there.

My verdict & noticeable differences
1. Makeup (foundation/concealer) application is much smoother
2. Skin looks hydrated and no flaky skin!
3. Slight improvement on my dark eye circles
4. Skin tone is more even out compared to previously.

I can't wait for my next treatment to see more improvements!!

The consultant suggested that I'll have my Covered BB treatment 2 weeks after my Dewy Treatment, making sure I've fully recovered first.

I was taken aback with the taste of it when I first drank it. I expected something that is overly sweeten and with very strong coconut taste. But VitaCoco did not taste like that!

#Celestrys VitaCoco Coconut Oil

My first thoughts when i first recieved this... "Coconut Oil? What can i do with this?? Put on hair will make it smelly anot?? Take and cook with my food? Sure it's edible??"

Personally, I have seen Youtubers raving about Coconut Oil for Hair Masking before, but the ones they had in their video are in a form of "wax-like" texture. Not really clear oil. You'll understand below.

So I thought, let's see what is this all about!

It came with some ideas of what I can do with this Coconut Oil.

Basically for cooking, it can be used as Cooking Oil, Replacement for Butter for Cookies, Smoothie Booster, Pan Frying, Popcorn Topping and much more.

Ways it can be used for Beauty can be, Hair Mask and target frizzy hair, Body Oil, Lip Balm, Makeup Remover, Oil Pulling, Replacement of Shaving Cream and much more!

I'm not really a cook, so I'm going to try out on my thirsty dehydrated skin!
Once i open the cap, i see these white milky stuffs floating inside the oil + i can really smell the coconut! But it's not smelly/turnoff! It's smelt like Coconut Icecream to me! Hehe

Found a dry patch on my knees...

I dipped my finger into the oil and to my surprise, it's quite watery and not as thick as the usual cooking oils we use!

Followed by applying and gently rubbing into my knees.

Not sure if you can see, but the skin looks like it's coated with a layer of protective oil to keep it moisturized.

Look how clear this is! Coconut Oil is an edible oil that is extracted from the meat of mature coconuts. They are organic and cold-pressed to make it perfect for cooking & beauty needs.

*Update:
I also tried this on my hair as an hair mask. I did not take any photos for this.
I think was greedy and overdone it, I had "wet-looking" hair for the next day on my roots.
I have to wash off the "wet-look" with a good long hair wash.

My advice is that only apply the coconut oil on the ends of your hair. And a little goes a long way!
Definitely it delivers what it said it would do! It moisturized and made my hair look so healthy.

Wireless Freedom with Sudio!

Firstly, I want to say that I'm very blessed and lucky to be able to get this baby on hand! #verythankful. I have a long post up ahead, but please bear with me as I have something really awesome at the end!

I was super excited when it finally arrived at my doorstep.

DHL was the delivery engaged and best thing is I get to choose my own delivery date and timeslot. Which is perfect for people who are always out and don't have people at home to collect the parcel. To my surprise, the parcel had some weight, (i thought earpiece very light only) But because of the very sturdy packaging from Sudio & all items were nicely bubble-wrapped.. it increased the weight of it. *thumbsup*

And just look how pretty and sleek the packaging is. It felt like Christmas to me.

#2: The Looks

Comes in 4 gorgeous colours.

I had a super hard time deciding between pink or white... it was a very very very tough choice for me. But i went with white in the end so it's easier to match my outfits.

I also want to emphasize on the mobility of this. 2 major plus points I really like, firstly it's good for running/sports, next it's good to use for travelling.

This earphones really don't fall off!! It stayed onto my earholes very securely and tightly no matter how I shook my head. I used it during my gym days on the treadmill and it did not fall off either!

As for travelling, you know when you want to get up of your seat to use the toilet in the plane? And all the wires just comes tangling and argh so fustrating? With this baby, all these is no longer an issue! I don't have to fuss about "argh i have to coil up this wires before I move on to the next stop etc", I just have them hanging on my neck!

5 Facts On Technology Today

As much as we don't want to admit it, the below statement may actually become true.

With the increase of intelligent humans on the planet, our technology is ever-changing and growing much faster than it has ever been. I have consolidated 5 facts about technology today that was interesting to me from various sites. Hope you'll enjoy!

#1 Fact

If the Internet is down, work is over for today.

I have worked in places where the internet goes down, due to the ISP eg: Singtel, Starhub etc, and the work basically stops. We have no internet to send emails, no internet to receive emails, no internet to surf the web for research purposes. Basically everything stops. I had a friend who was made to go home at 2pm and OT the following day to pay back the time lost... This shows how much businesses actually depend on the internet for business to run.

Let's put businesses aside, even for us. We need the internet for our whatsapp, facebook, snapchat, instagram, pokemon go.... If internet is down... that's the end.

Without your phone, you feel naked and helpless

This is for me. I CANNOT live without my phone. Even if my phone is dead for 30 minutes, I feel so uncomfortable... I need my phone for my emails, my communication during work and after work. I need my phone for my social platforms, reading up the news, browsing thru the web. Now with Pokemon Go, I can't help it but not be in the app when i'm walking.

Omg. I can't. And i know it's bad. I'm just waiting for this pokemongo hype to die down.

Your data is all over the world

So you upload your personal info, hp numbers, photos onto Facebook, Instagram, Twitter..

All these are data and where are they? Where do facebook store all our photos? Will they ever disappear? Will my data be in the wrong person hands?

Well, all these platforms spend millions and billions of dollars to keep your data safeguarded in the servers they rent/own. The major four companies are Amazon, Microsoft, Google and IBM, having more than half of the world's data in their data centers.

Your data may not be stored in Singapore or the country you are in. It's actually all over the world. However, if your data is in another country, it is unclear who has access to it, be it the law enforcement or the network providers who pulls your data to you.

#4 Fact
Social Media? A hackers' favorite target
Well we are on Facebook also EVERYDAY. We are very likely to click on links that our friends share with us, which is what hackers use to their advantage. Below are some of the things they'll do.

1. Like-Jacking
The hackers post fake facebook "like" buttons to webpages you go. Users who clicks the "don't like the page", you have just initiated the download of the malware.

2. Link-Jacking
The hackers uses a one website link to redirect you to another website that is malware infested that hides drive-by downloads and other virus. You may see "www.helloimlegit.com" but when you click that link, you are redirected to "www.ohnoimfullofvirus.com"

3. Phishing

I actually see this alot myself. The hackers attempts to get some sensitive information like username, password, credit card details $$ by disguising itself to look like a trustworthy site like facebook/twitter.

Always be careful and wary guys!

#5 Fact

Virtual Reality is used in various industries

I've tried on a VR once at Bugis+ for a $10 ride. It was simulating a roller coaster ride with the use of the VR and seat movements.

VR can be used in many different industries, say medical students who are trainees can make use of VR to practice on surgery. VR can be a more interactive learning experience for younger kids for field trip to the moon, or world landmarks, anything is possible. The gaming industries would be one of the biggest hit in terms of VR.

To end this off, all I can say it that we are very different from our previous generation.

But I backside itchy, I went to place an order with a Taobao Shop, let's call it ABC Shop, directly.... And made payment with my paypal... BUT, after like 1 week, ABC Shop told me that the address is provided is not valid for shipping... So apparently the shipping address was my home address. And they don't ship to Singapore directly!!

I was at a lost, so I turned to EzBuy for help. They had this service called Ship-For-Me and i just have to pay a minimum sum for the agent fee and the shipping fees. What impressed me is that EzBuy actually checked the goods for me, make sure it is in a good condition, took a picture and asked if the good is what I ordered! Which is damn cool la. Means they don't take goods blindly and mail to you blindly.

Shopping on Taobao using EzBuy was definitely my first choice ever since then!

No.1 reason is that it's confirm 100% confirm chop cheaper as shopping directly from the country of where is was made helps to bypass any importer, exporter, distributor or retailer charges!

*ladies, if you shop for Victoria Secret, Forever 21 etc etc you get all the benefits right there!*

4. It includes all Buy-For-Me services such as purchasing, inspection and after-sales support.

And remember, all these for only $2.99 per checkout! No matter how much/many/heavy you buy!

I personally tried out Prime on the 2.99 shipping once during the 65eday which happened on 5th of June.

If you can see, I purchased 12 items myself. Including a luggage...

Want to guess how much my total shopping bill?

Total was only 127.93! for 10 items including a luggage!

If you divide by 10, averaging out each of my items is only $12.80?! including shipping?!

Since shipping is 2.99 flat rate, if you divided 2.99 amongst the 10 items, it's only like 29 cents each item!

SUPER CHEAP LA!

Of course I did had some savings from using the 65eday coupon, $10 savings there. and also the free agent fee promotion, I saved another $5.39... But overall it's still super cheap!

Usual sports bra retails at about $30-$50 each? This was only $8.57.

Tights retails at about $40-$99 even? I order for only $10.54.

I wanted some new shoes for gym classes.. I ordered this for $5.69 only!

Total damage for a gym outfit is $24.80 only!

*Now you know why I love taobao...*

I ordered a 22" luggage for hand carry purposes when I travel for only $46.10. I read through the taobao shop reviews from other customers, most of them were good reviews and thus I decided to buy from this shop.

Most importantly is not just cheap, but also the reviews in the taobao shop. Those with real life pictures in the reviews are more credible. I usually don't mind paying a little more for that quality.
